Your Baby at 8 Months
This is a very active age group for your baby, and he or she will be curious and exploratious about everything.
Sleep
(1) At this month bedtime should start being scheduled. You should rock, or sing to your baby while he or she is in the crib in order to help your baby know it is bed time. Sleep should be a routine, at night, for your baby.
Growth and Development
(2)�� You will notice your baby developing "fine motor" skills when he or she starts picking up objects between the thumb and fore finger. This is called the pincer grasp.
At this month your baby may be able to pull him or herself up to stand, but might fall back down after a short while. By the 8th month your baby should feel less threatened with new people around.
